Desktop PC
For both PC & Mac, we recommend using Google Chrome browser to view your VR projects.
Supported browsers: Google Chrome and Safari.
IOS
For IOS devices, we recommend you to use Safari for your VR/interactive 360 projects.
- Set up screen timeout to at least 5 minutes.
- Make sure your device is fully charged.
To set your screen timeout. Go to [Setting] > [Display & Brightness] > [Auto-lock] > Set screen time out duration.
Set up WIFI & Proxy
- If your local network uses proxy to browse external websites, you need to set up proxy on your device.
- To set up proxy: Go to [Settings] > [WIFI] (to connect to the WIFI). Tap on the [icon] next to the WIFI name to go to the WIFI detail page.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap on ‘Configure Proxy’ to go into the proxy settings.
- Choose the ‘Manual’ option, and put in your corresponding information.
School set up example:
- Server: proxy.det.nsw.au
- Port: 8080
- Username: username@detnsw
- Password: xxxxxxx
Android
For Android devices, we recommend you to use Google Chrome for your VR/360 projects.
- Set up screen timeout to at least 5 minutes.
- Make sure your device is fully charged.
Go to [Settings] > [Display] > [Screen Timeout] to set up the screen timeout duration.
Set up WIFI & Proxy
If your local network uses proxy to browse external websites, you need to set up proxy on your device.
Set Proxy settings:
[Modify network configure] > [Show advanced options] > [Proxy] > [Choose Manual] > [Choose put your proxy hostname and port] > [Tick Authentic server (if needed)] > [Enter your username and password].
To add WIFI network options to set up a proxy:
- Go to [Settings] > [WIFI] and scroll to the bottom > [Add WIFI network].
- Enter your network SSID and choose “802.1x EAP” for the security.
- Select PEAP for EAP method and using MSCHAPV2 for the Phase 2 authentication option.
- Using your proxy username as ‘Identify’ and your proxy password in ‘Password’.
- Tick show advanced options to set proxy on your device.
