360° Images & Videos
These formats are captured in a 360° field of vision using a 360° camera. Viewers can look or scroll in all directions around a scene (up, down, left, right, all around), but you cannot move or walk around. You can upload these file formats into the VRTY platform to create your interactive experiences.
Scenes represent a 360º image or video. Think of them as rooms in a house that you can visit and walkthrough.
Storyboard
A storyboard is a technique to map out your viewer’s journey through your VRTY project. Storyboards can be linear in the narrative (one scene after another), can be non-linear (choose any other scene to go to next), or a branching narrative (choose between a selection of scenes and go through to only one scene).
Content Markers
Content Markers are used to contain information for viewers to discover and experience. They can be placed within scenes and triggered to reveal their content. Content Markers are versatile and contain any of the following information types:
- Text
- Image
- GIF
- Video
- Audio / Sound
- Any combination of the above
Virtual Reality
Virtual Reality (VR) is the use of technology to create a simulated environment. VR places viewers inside an experience wearing a VR headset. The VR environment can be captured using a 360° camera or even built from scratch using 3D computer-generated objects and scenes.
